In the time it takes to make a baby... can do a thing or two. We swear.

in point of fact, round about last August, we sat down with our landlords - the ever enjoyable Mike and Craig, lovely folk - and said something like "Say, we think we oughtta try and get some heaters out there on the patio for when it gets cold. And stuff." Of course, they were amenable.

So we talked about it, maybe had a beer, or two, and came up with a pretty cool way (maybe the only way, too, but lets not get lost in the details) to do it. We shook hands, exchanged how-do-you-dos and good-byes, and off we went, them to more landlording, and us, ostensibly, to put heaters on the patio.

And then something happened.

Something called nothing. And we scratched our heads, and Craig and Mike looked askance, and yet, still...nothing happened.

But we have overcome. We have prevailed, we have done...something. With the current result of having heaters on the patio. Which should be nice as we turn the corner out of our version of winter and stand face to face with our fleeting springtime and on into the furnace heat of summer.

So tonight we are warm outside. At least directly under the heaters. Whether or not we need them, they will be on. So. Please. Come sit under them. Tonight. We made Linguica sausage today, and it is good, and will be even better outside under the artificial warmth so long coming...

Your shared experience was really thoughtful to me because I have faced same kind of situation in the last month. But I didn’t do anything. As read this post, you try to fix the problem in your way.
